(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Monday. William Cross, cook for bushfellers at Poutou, committed suicide on Sxinday by cutting his throat while in a melancholy mood. WELLINGTON, Monday. In the Supreme Court William Loft and Frank Coyle were charged with robbery with violence at Foxton. Coyle wa3 acquitted. Loft was convicted, and sentenced to five years' imprisonment. Robert Ogilvie was convicted of an unnatural offence at Feilding, and was remanded for sentence till tomorrow. Frank King, aged about 22, who had pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to 13 burglaries in Wellington, admitted another similar charge. He was remanded for sentence. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Agnes Emily Brooks and Albert Brooks were charged at the Supreme Court with having wilfully neglected a child so as to cause it 'unnecessary suffering. The hearing lasted all day and into the evening. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and the accused were discharged. DUNEDIN, this day.

At the criminal sittings Wm. Bum Storey, an elderly man, was convicted of indecent assault on a child of seven years, and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. Char las Wood, a seafaring man, was acquitted of breaking and entering, and Henry McCarthy, charged with assault and causing bodily harm, was also acquitted.
