H.M.s. Lizard arrived from Wellington at noon to-day, and anchored in the man-o'-war ground.
It is understood tint the first steamer in the new service between Vancouver and New Zealand will cctninonee running on 15th October. The trip to Auckland is to be made in three weeks.
The Northern Co.'s new steamer Karawa arrived from Dundee via ports yesterday morning, after a fast passage of OK clays. The steamer will be docked to-morrow, and Will take up her West Coast running next week.
