(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WAIHI, this day. An accident occurred to the Tauranga mail coach on the Waihi Plains this morning near the cemetery, owing to the king bolt snapping. The driver returned to Waihi for another coach. There were no casualties. Mr. M. J. Stewart, of Athenree, whilst driving into Waihi this afternoon, was thrown out on bis head through the trap colliding with a bridge. The trap was smashed, but Mr. Stewart escaped with a shaking. A miner named Ginn was stunned this morning in the Waihi Company's No. 5 shaft through the fall of a block of cement on his head.
