FRANKLIN ROAD PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH.
There -was a good attendance at the anniversary tea, which was laid in the ischoolroom, last evening. The ladies of the congregation waited at the tables. The public meeting in the church was presided over by the minister, the Rev. W. S. Rotter. The report was of an encouraging nature, and showed an increase of 10 members after hilling all vacancies. The income for tkp year had been about. £400, and £7.3 had been paid oil' the debt, The various institutions of Lite church were, on the whole, considered to be more healthy and vigorous. Addresses were given by Revs. J. Benning, W. Laycock, and E. Warburton. The choir sang a number of selections, ami Mr A. Ford a solo, which was encored. Mr Hodgson proposed a resolution against a. Sunday tram service, which was seconded by Mr Earrar, and carried unanimously. Votes of thanks closed the meeting.
