The Auckland Christian Endeavcmv Union holds its annual convention' this year from September 11th to 16th. A programme of meetings has beon -arranged, commencing to-morrow evening. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Neligan, Anglican Bishop of Auckland, spent about a fortnight in the Taranal<i archdeaconry, and he expresses himself much pleased with the prospects of the church in that district/ He commends the good work being done by . Archdeacon Cole, on the foundations laid by Bishop Seiwyn and thb Venerable Archdeacon Govett. In Wellington Dr. Neligan preached in St. Paul's, anil won the unequivocal admiration of all who heard him. He has enjoyed his excursjon very much.
