LONDON, July 29.
Three inches of rain fell in London within-24 hours, and great damage was done in the Thames Valley. English harvest prospects are seriously affected. The "Glasgow Herald" declares that the outlook in Scotland is the gloomiest for many years, and estimates the loss at between two and three millions sterling.
