DUNEDIN TRAMWAYS AND DRAINAGE.
DUNEDIN, Wednesday,
At a meeting between the committee of the City Council and the Drainage Board an agreement was arrived at as to points in dispute respecting electric tramways. The City Council meet at once to confirm the agreement. This is done as the Caversham Council has agreed to the terms of the Order-m-Oouneil. It is now expected that the tramway will be pushed forward with vigour, unless some unforeseen difficulty aTises with the Public Works Department in signing the Order-in-Council. DUNEDIN, this day. The City Council met this morning and unanimously agreed to accept the agreement arrived at by the joint conference last night. The Drainage Board subseiquently confirmed the resolution. FEILDING, this day. The foundation stone of a new Presbyterian 'church was laid yesterday afternoon by Mr J. G. W. Aitken, M.H.R.
