ARRANGEMENT WITH THE CREW.

In connection with the recent trouble on the American ship' Emily Reed, it is ' understood that the captain" and crew, have made a mutually satisfactory ; ar«. rangement.' It is stated that the -yes- J; sel will be surveyed by two experts, one on bejialf of the captain and the other for; the crew; that the ship pay all iexpenses and cany out ;tlie requirements of the surveyors; that. the chief iriate and 'donkey-man! be replaced by others; that the crew be increased by eight men in each of the two watches; that i/the wages of the men be increased so as to equal. ruling, rates from Lyttelton; that no firearmsbe taken on" board; that all hands, be paid off in Simonstown; or such-other port in .Soutlu 'Alrica as. "the ship .may discharge at; and that all law costs be paid by the captain.
