The dead body of a newly-born female child was discovered • in - a right-of-way off. High-street, yesterday . evening. ■, A woman, residing in the neighbourhood called a ■ constable's attention to a suspicious - looking brown-paper parcel which had been left in the locality, and the constable on examining it found the body of a child, which he removed to the police station. An inquest will be held.
