LONDON, July 21

The movement for inquiry into the causes of the physical deterioration of the British race has received an unexpected impetus. Official reports show that during the last decade 34 per cent, of would-be army recruits, in Britain were rejected as medically unfit, in addition to _a large timber who were not examined, being obviously unfit. The chief cause of rejection was their poor physique. The Director-General of the Army now Suggests the appointment of a Commission to inquire into the causes of the dedim and the best means for the improvement of the national health.
