HAWTREY COMEDY COMPANY.
As the season of the Hawtrey Comedy Company, which opens at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday night, is restricted to nine nighty, it will only be possible to stage "Little Lord Fauntleroy" for a few nights. The company should make a decided hit in this pretty play, which has at all times been popular with the public. The difficulty in its revival has always been to find a suitable exponent of the name part, and it is satisfactory to note that the little girl who is to sustain this responsible role —little Addie Lorking —is an Aucklander, and has received very eulogistic notices for her bright and clever performance at the hands of press critics. A farcical comedy in three acts, entitled "The Other Man's Business," is in preparation, and will be produced next week for the first time in Auckland. It is said to be exceedingly funny, and has received from the London and provincial press highly flattering notices. It is probable that "A Message from Mars" will be staged for one night during the season. The box plan opens on Friday morning.
