BRISBANE, this day.

Parliament will open to-day. The Governors Speech will refer to the returning prosperity since the breaking of the drought, and to the necessity for jurther reducing the cost of government in order to bring expenditure within the limits of revenue. The means to this end will include reduction of jnembers of the Assembly, and redistribution of seats. The Bills promised include one for the extension of the duration of Parliament and a Women's Franchise Bill.
