(From Our Special Correspondent.) LONDON, .Tune 13, 100,'!. Wool: The third series of London wool sales closed (irmly on 23rd ult. All uescriptions of crossbred ruled at the highest point of Hi series, while other sorts, save medium greasy merino, which tended in buyers' favour, fully maintained the improvement reported in my last report. Of the total offering of 200,000 li/. IKO.OOO B/ were disposed of, of which lOO.O(K) 11/ (including 5000 IV. purchased ou American account), were taken for export, while ID 500 were carried forward. For raw material values continue very firm; but little business bus been passing by private treaty Advice.-: from Bradford point to a firm 'but quiet tone there. Manufacturers sreiieriillv are busy, but it is with fabrics, for which coarse qualities of staple, rather than merino, are employed, (that they are mainly engaged. Butter: Prices are very irregular, but a [■■w small lots of linest have made about 'rv to 04/ per cwt. Butter under that grade is extremely difficult to dispose of, and prices have ranged from 80/ to 00/ per cwt. „ „ , , Hemp: The demand for .New /.ealancl mentioned in my last advice has not been maintained, and prices have given way. The large receipts of Manila have exercised a depressing influence on the market and buyers have operated with great: caution. Latest quotations: May £32 to £••>/> 10/ July £81; August, £30 10/; JuneDecember. £30 10/ per ton c.i.f.
