The inspector's report, presented at the Birkdale School Committee meeting on Saturday evening, states that the teaching and conduct of the school are well maintained and reflect credit upon the head master, Mr J. Brook.
The Government Offices will be closed to-morrow in honour of Arbour Day, inaugurated to encourage planting trees to replace, to some extent, our rapidly dwindling forest area.
