WAIHI AFFAIRS.

WAIHI, this day. At the meeting of the committee of the Waihi Brass Band the other evening, the secretary was instructed to invite applications from Australia and New Zealand for the position of conductor.
The Hospital Trustees met on Friday evening, tue Rev. J. Olphert presiding, and resolved that tenders be called for the conduct of funerals, also that the charge nurse, Miss Townsend, be paid £55 per annum.' The secretary was instructed to write the architect in regard to smoky chimneys.
Private Comer, of the New Zealand 0.R.V., has been declared winner of the Crawford Brown rifle trophy, which was first fired for over t wo years ago.
