LATE SHIPPING.

Wellington, June 29. —Sailed: Braemar, barque, for London. Whangnrei, June 29. —Sailed, 10 a.m.— Clielmsford, s.s., for Auckland.

The following 18 tenders have been received by Messrs Mitchell and Watt, architects, for the erection of foundry buildings in Stinley-street for Messrs Nicholls Bros, ironfounders, of this city:— G. G. Pollard, £1118 (withdrawn); J. W. Jones and Son, £1193 (accepted); Grayson Bros., £1230; Craig Bros., £1274; H. C. Small, £1275; Jas. Lye and Sons. £1291; W. J. Stepphenson, £1320; Heron Bros., £1335; W. A. Clarke, £1337; G. M. Handeock, £1349; N. McLean, £1350; F. J. Matthews, £1354; S. J. Clarke, £1370; J. B. Langley and Son. £1387; Chas. Palmer, £1400; Jno. Farrell, £1432; R. Kay, £1493. Dr. Wright's funeral on Saturday afternoon was attended by a very large number of people belonging to all classes of the city. The body was interred in the Purewa Cemetery, the ceremony at the graveside being performed by the Rev. Canon Mac Murray. The cortege included representatives of the Loyal Parnell Lodge of Oddfellows (M.U.), whose lodge doctor the deceased had been for nearly 40 years, the Mayor of Parnell (Mr J. Fitt), members of the Auckland branch of the British Medical Association, and members of the friends and relatives of the deceased. Wreaths Avere sent by the 8.M.A., the Parnell Lodge, and many from friends and patients of the deceased. Our Cambridge correspondent telegraphs that information has been received by the Domain Board that Mr. H. J. Greenslade, farmer, of Pukerimu, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the board, a recommended resident being ignored. Messrs Cook Bros., of Russell, secured five whales at the latter end of last week, making a total of nine this season. They killed two others, but both sank. Major Minnitt died in the Waikato Hospital this morning of pneumonia. He was an old resident of the Waikato, and formerly belonged to the 18th Regiment, and afterwards to the colonial forces. He married a daughter of the late Sir Frederick Whitaker.
