ROYAL OAK. Tributes In the Royal Oak mine obtained 1601b of picked stove on Saturday. KAPOWAI. The niauager of the Kapowai G.M. Co. telegraphed to-day: "Monthly tlcan-up, 750z bUwts, crushed 90 tous of quartz." The bullion should bo worth about £176. MARATOTO. The manager reports that No. 5 level has been driven srt o'iii north, and south on the Alaratoto reef, making a total oi l< feet 6 Inches. The north face is in 12ft 9iu from the me, ana cue sulphide is very much the same as last week. ihe ore being broken from the .uaratoto is all being saved. In the Pay Hock section oft have been driven, making a total oi l3lt Oin on i the crosscut for tue new reef from the I intermediate level, ±he manager thmKs it should not uu long beiore the reef is intersected. The manager reports that in No. 2 stope the reef, wnen broken down this week, averaged 18 inches in width, and the stone showed a few strong coloms of gold; as did also the reef in JN'o. 3 stope. The reef in No. 4 stope averages about 2ft ia thickness, and a few colours of gold were seen in the quartz. Crushing is proceeding. BUNKER'S HILL. The manager reports that the leading stope above No. 1 drive has been carried along from the northern boundary towards the shait, a total distance of M)fc. Another 10ft in this direction will reach as near the shaft as it ia intended to go at present. In the face the reef is a foot in thickness, composed principally of pug, but on the footwali it carries a vein of quartz about 21u in ihickness, and has produced a lutle picked stone. Tne No. 3 stope from the end ox the ground is almost completed. The reef here is very compact, producing good crushing dirt from which 291bs of picked stone were secured. There yet remain 22ft In height on the bouudary line before reaching the ttoor of No. 1 level. The reef there Is 6in In width, and produces good crushing dirt in which gold is frequently seen. The reef being worked on the break Jias now been carried down to the intermediate level. Gold was occasionally seen, but no puked stone secured. The leading stope from the winze above the intermediate level has broken through to the stope worked irom the opposite direction, which completes the leading stope to the northern boundary. The footwall portion of the reef is still of a good size, in which colours of goid were seen. The winze to connect with No. 2 level has produced 461bs of picked stone during the week. The reef is a solid Lody of stone, I and is making stronger as depth is attained. The drive at No. 2 level is in 16ft. The reef is looking bette/, but has not shown gold. WAITAIA. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) COROMANDEL, this day. The Waitaia G.M. Co., Kuaotunu, treated 44 tons of general by the ordinary battery process, for a yield of 51oz lOdwts of retorted bullion, valued approximately at £159.
