A "NO-RING" WEDDING.
A recent wedding which excited great interest in America was that of the Earl of Yarmouth—known as the "dancing earl" by some of his friends, owing to his connection with the stage—and Miss Alice Thaw, a beautiful American
page. The ceremony took place at Miss Thaw's house at Pittsburg. iA Presbyterian minister performed the ceremony, and the '"'New York Journal" states that the ring portion of the service was omitted. Miss Thaw's dowry is said to be £400,000.
