(By Telegraph.-Press Association.)

"FORGET AND FORGIVE."

CHRISTCHURCH, this day,

An inquest on the body of E. Y. feimp-son,-who was found dead in a paddock yesterday, was opened this morning, but, after taking evidence covering the facts already known, it adjourned till Monday, as a portion of-the body will be analysed.' The only fresh fact of importance elicited was that deceased left a pencilled note for his wife asking her-to forget and forgive Mm. The evidence showed that Mr and Mrs Simpson were on excellent. terms, that his financial position was sound, and that there was nothing connected with his business which could have caused him to take his life.
