THE CENTRAL MISSION.

Mr and Mrs Hammill, recently returned from America, gave stirring evangelistic addresses yesterday at the Mission Hall. Taking as her text 2 Cor. v. 17 ("Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.")- A quartette was beautifully rendered by Mrs J. Wood, and Mrs — Wood, and Messrs. Schofield and Gooch. The superintendent of the Mission, Mr W. H. Smith, in stating that the Qentral Mission Hall would be used as a polling booth on Wednesday, urged the congregation to pray about the election, and to be sure to vote for the right man—the man who can best fill and fit the important position of Mayor.
