ATHLETICS.
AUCKLAND FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of the Auckland Fcotball association was held in the Amateur Sports clubrooms last evening. Mr A. H. Marriner presided, and there was a good attendance. The annual report stated that the past season had been a most successful one. The statement of accounts showed that the season closed with a debit balance of £12 19/8, being a decrease in the.debit balance cf £18. The following officers were elected for the forthcoming season:—-Pat-ron. His Excellency the Governor; vicepatrons, Messrs A. Kidd, M.H.H., and D. Goldie; president, Mr H. A. Marriner; vicepresidents, Sir J. Logan Campbell, the Hon. B. Mitehelson, Pastor Clark, Messrsi H. Rees George, C. C. Dacre. A. Myers, W. Coleman, J. P. Stevenson, L. D. Nathan, Moss Davis, G. Fowlds, M.H.K., C. W. Ilemery, V. E. Rice, C. A. Harris, A. Smith, J. J. Heather, J. Chambers, H. Horton, J. «v. Mackv, H. M. Smeeton, G. W. S. Patterson. A. Alison, E. W. Alison, M.H.R., *•_£• Baume. M.H.R.. E. D. O'Rorke, and J. McDongall; hon. secretary, Mr T. R. Southa 11, ton. treasurer, Mr H. T. Goldie; hon. auditor, Mr E. J. G. F. Greville; delegate to New Zealand Football Association, Mr .*. W. Sloman (Wellington). The following were elected to act as a committee oi referees:—Messrs W. Heather, Nyberg, J. Burgess, A. Smith, J. Buddie, Knight, and Blair. It was decided to form a Public Schools' Association under the management of the association, to compete for a set or medals donated by. the supporters of tne association. The coming season promises to be a very busy one. Several new clubs have Joined the association, and Wellington ana Otago pay us a visit.
