CHURCH SERVICES.

In the Catholic Churches the usual holy week services have been held. On Holy Thursday morning Mass was celebrated at St Patrick's Cathedral by His LordFjlrip the Bishop. A procession of the Blessed Sacrament took place to the Altar of Repose, which was handsomely decorated, and throughout the day and night numbers of the parishioners visited it. The holy oils were blessed by the Bishop. On Good Friday morning Mass of the Presanetiiied was celebrated by the Bishop, and at this service the uncovering of the cross and the kissing of the sacred wounds by the faithful took place. In the afternoon at 3 o'clock the stations of the cross were recited, and the evening service was largely attended. The Rev Father Kehoe preached a fine sermon on "The Passion." At the other churches services of a similar character were held. To-day at St Patrick's the Easter water was blessed, and the paschal candle was lighted. His Lordship the Bishop presided over the services.
