RIVAL SHOWS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent)
CAMBRIDGE, this day.
Cambridge membeis of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association held a most enthusiastic meeting here on Saturday afternoon to receive the report of the delegates who attended the annual meeting at Hamilton on Thursday, Mr John Fisher in the chair. Fully fifty were present. The .delegates reported that the members at the annual meeting, with few exceptions, rejected the request of the Camoridge members to have the show held alternately at Hamilton and Cambridge. Much discussion followed, members thinking Cambridge badly treated, and it was resolved that Cambridge members should resign in a body, which means the loss of about £300 to the Society, and immediately take steps to form an association to hold shows in Cambridge, such association to be called the Cambridge Agricultural and Pastoral Association. All present agreed to join, and signed to that effect. A committee, consisting of Messrs J. and R. Fisher, Alllwill, Allen and Reynolds, will frame rules and report. A meeting will be held next Saturday afternoon.
