CAMBRIDGE, this day

A meeting of the Cambridge Road Board was held here on Saturday. A petition was received from settlers in Ilautapu and Fencourt praying the Board to open a load connecting the main road with the tramway road through Messrs Watt Brothers' property. They had been using a track through the latter's property, but now the Messis Watt Bros, objected. It was resolved to try and settle the matter amicably. The clerk. Captain Macpherson, tendered his resignation after being :_ offipe for more than a quarter of a century, and it was accepted with regret. It was decided to call for applications for the appointment at £25 per annum. These will he returnable at a special meeting next Saturday.
