PICNICS.

One of the most pleasant and enjoyable outings of the season was the saddlers' picnic promoted by the employees of J. Wiseman and Sons to Molutapu on Saturday last. The day turned out an ideal one, and the sail down the harbour, enlivened :is it was by the cheering strains ot the Bavarian Band, proved to many a hard worker a glorious relief after the toils of the week. Arrived at the island, young men and maidens, and oid ones too, wended their way to the picnic ground under tlie shade of the willows and the clear rippling rivulet: which pleasure parties know so well. There within a few mii.ute.s hampers and baskets were unpacked, and a capital spread was soon partaken of by a merry, jolly, happy party in truly rustic fashion.
