THE GAME OF BOWLS.

WELLINGTON. Saturday

At a meeting of the Council of the North Island Bowling Association, held last night, a recommendation from a meeting of bowlers held during the Palmerston North tournament, in favour of having the standard bowl of wider bias adopted was discussed, and it was decided to send to England for a standard No. 3 test bowl. A further recommendation as to the advisableness of each club contributing to the expenses of future tournaments pro rata was also considered. A circular was drafted, asking for suggestions from the different clubs as to minimising the expense. It was resolved that certificates be given to winners of all matches at future tournaments.
