NEW YORK. March S. The; Mexican volcano Colima. "which l_ul been dormant since June. 1809, is now in violent eruption. Black mud, gtones and earth are being ejected with great force, while tlm earth tremors are appalling. Dense clouds and showers of ashes lave fallen for a hundred miles round.' The residents at Taxpan are in terror, and are flying to the hills. LONDON, March 7. Alarmine,' earthquakes have been experienced during the last two days in Saxony and Bohemia.

Sir James Hector states that a remarkable oscillation of the barometric pressure took pLce last Friday evening, commencing at five o'clock and ending at eight, recalling a similar disturbance oi the barographi- curve which occurred liter the eruption of Krakatoa in 18S3.
