WAIMATE, Monday.

Mrs Mitchell, wife of Mr J. 11. Mitchell, farmer, of Studholme, was found drowned in a pond near her house about one o'clock yesterday. Her husband was at another of his farms', a few mile? away, at the time, and the body wa| first, seen by the children and takes from the pond by employees on tlujj farm. The jury returned a verdict t_a| deceased drowned herself while tempi* rarity insane.
