WAIHI.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent)

' WAIHI, this day. The parishioners' meeting of St. John's Church was held last evening. The attendance was very poor. The following vestry, chosen by the vicar, was confirmed by those present: Mr Barry, vicar's warden; Mr Hunter, people's warden; vestrymen, Messrs Shandley, Beech, Fletcher Palmer, Lock, Stafford and Roach. Of the original vestry, which resigned owing to a disagreement with the vicar, Mr Barry was the only member who retained his seat. Six coaches, besides many buggies, arrived almost simultaneously on Saturday evening, laden with returning holidaymakers from Auckland.
