DROWNING ACCIDENT.
NELSON, this day.
A drowning fatality occurred at the Buller, causing the death of Thomas Freeman, dredge contractor, is reported. It was due to the capsize of a boat with three men. Two hung on to a rope. Freeman nearly swam to the bank through rough water, but sank exhausted on reaching smooth water.
