LONDON, January 3. Mr Chamberlain has Spionkop.
The "Times" Ladysmith correspondent says Mr Chamberlain's announcement that all military receipts for goods taSen during- the war would be recognised will have an enormous effect on the immediate situation. The repudiation of some receipts caused extreme dissatisfaction. CAPETOWN, January 4. Mr Chamberlain met Lord Milner at Charlestown and reached Pretoria at midnight. A large, enthusiastic crowd welcomed him, but there was no public ceremony.
