COROMANDEL.
THE EXHIBITION OPENED
(Prom Our Own Correspondent)
COROMANDEL, Friday.
The Coromandel Gold Jubilee Exhibition was formally opened to-day, and was largely attended throughout the afternoon and evening. The number and quality of exhibits in all classes are of a high standard. In the loan collection there are shown some very interesting and remarkable curios, gathered from all parts of the globe, amongst others being a fine collection from Abyssinia, gathered by Mr H P. Hornibrooke, and Mr Preece's fine collection of Maori curios. ST. ANDREW'S SCHOOL PICNIC. The annual picnic of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Sunday-school was held to-day in Bate's paddock, under most favourable circumstances. The gathering was well attended, and proved a most enjoyable outing.
