PALMESRSTON N., Saturday. The weather was fine for the second day of the Manawatu Racing Club's meeting. The amount put through the totalisator was £9428. The stewards held an inquiry into the running of Ostiak in the Summer Handicap, and after examining Messrs Gordon, Monk, Prosser, and Jenkins, decided to take no action.
