WELLINGTON, this day,

Owing' to complaints from Kurow the Health Department has decided to insist that no counsumptive patients are to be sent there without due notification to the local health officers. In connection with the proposed establishment of a sanatorium in the South Island for the treatment of consumptives, it is understood a private residence and grounds in the neighbourhood of Dunedin have been placed under offer, and are likely to be accepted.
