SOULT has had very few first-class Mares, but any he has had have proved winners. He had 14 of his progeny racing last season, and 11 of them proved winners, and the others very close up. The following are a few of his winners:— Oiang« and Blue, Lady Avon, Wairikl, Austerlitz, Soultina (who won whenever Btarted), Sandy. Amount of stakes won by his stock last season In New Zealand, £1700, bringing his total over £4000. SOULT, amongst numerous races, won the Lane Stakes of 600sovs, Liverpool Stewards' Stakes of BOOsovs, Ovingdon Stakes of 250sovs, The Match, at Newmarket, of 300sovs, and Brighton Plate of 150sovs. In these races he beat some of the best running l-a England, viz.:—Worcester (City and buburban Handicap), Sylvanus, Fatherless (winner of Great Metropolitan), Simony, Son of a Gun, El Diable, Perigord, Miss Butterwick (Oata winner), Gang Awa (Goodwood Cup winner), Marclon, Portrush, and several ethers, and wag a good performer at all distances.
