WELLINGTON, this day.
Wind: Gale between north-east, north and west at all places westward of East Cape, Taupo, Patea, Nelson, and Westport, after 16 to 20 hours; moderate winds principally from the northward elsewhere. Barometer: Fall everywhere. Sea: Heavy on all western coast north of Cape Egmant and Cape Farewell, and at ' Westport; moderate elsewhere. Tides: Good'on western coast northward of Cape Egmont and Cape Farewell, and at Westport; moderate at other places western coast; increase on eastern coast northward of East Cape; moderate thence southward. Rain is probable at most places northward of East Cape and Cape Egrmont after 20 hours. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria and Tiritiri, and for easterly gales at Cape Foulwind and Farew-ell Spit.
