PRETTY BABY STORIES.
(FOR MOTHERS.)
A pathetic little story of a baby comes from Otago's great grain-pro-ducing district. The child's mother tells the tale: —
"Although Ethel is only three-and-a-half years she has passed through some terrible experiences," said Mrs. M. J. Jones, of Enfield, Waiareka (near Oamaru), "and but for Dr. Wilj liams' pink pills she would, probably, J still be a victim to congestion of the I lungs and consumption of the bowels. Little Ethel was only six months old when she . was taken ill. Fits of coughing racked her tiny frame. She was always very weak and sometimes very feverish. Her stomach and bowels were in a bad state, and she had acute internal pains. Often we had to sit up with her a/11 night long. Teething troubles made her ailments worse. Two doctors attended her. One said she might'live a fortnight, but could not live more than four months. We tried all kinds of treatment without success. Then having read of cases where little children in Invercargill, Balclutha, DunJ edin, Timaru, Christchurch, Wellingl ton, Masterton, Stratford and Thames j were cured by Dr. Williams' pink ! pills we gave her some. We got the kind made specially for New Zealand, j which had the address, 'Wellington, ! New Zealand,' printed in red on the j pink wrapper. She was very ill when we began them, but they soon improved her. Gradually the pains lessened, iher appetite impiroved, *he consumption of the bowels abated, and her lungs grew clearer. After taking a number of boxes she became ' quite strong and healthy. She used '. to be always crying with pain, but now she is full of childish tricks and ' Iplavs about happily all day l«nf;'' T j The experiences of little Et»e Jones, of Enfield, Oamaru, s&W^ h ; I Dr. Williams' pink their weight in g°l\*"* n ot the !
