MRS. HARRISON LEE.

At a quarter past eight o'clock yesterday Mrs. Harrison Lee addressed a well-attended meeting in the Forester's Hall, Karangahape-road, Mr. R. French presided. Mrs. Lee spoke about "The Greatest Trial in History," from which practical lessons were drawn. She referred to the coming local option poll, at which she said the people had to decide between the crime and evils resulting from intemperance, and the blessings and purity from temperance. Suitable music was provided by the choir of the OhurCh of Christ, Westsitreet. In the afternoon Mrs. Lee addressed an open-air meeting held tinder the auspices of the Helping Hand Mission in the Western Park. Mrsi. Lee also announced that a mass meeting of women will be held on October 29.
