ST. JOHN'S SALE OF WORK.

The sale of work in St. John's Wesleyan schoolroom, Ponsonby, to pay off the balance of the church debt (£SO) and nrovide an organ fund, concluded with an auction sale on Saturday evening. The total amount raised during the three days was £120. In the basket competition, which provided keen competition, the prizes for the most novel basket went to Miss Tonkin (first;. Mr Montague (second). Miss M. Beaumont (third), and Mrs Pierce (fourth). Miss Blomfield won the orize for the most handsome basket; and the juvenile prize-winners were as follow:— Most novel basket, Clara Beaumont: most beautiful, Harold Ready; children under 10, Elsie Booth 1, Madge Montague 2, Nellie Montague 3.
