ST. 'MARK'S LADIES' GUILD,
The annual fancy fair and sale of work under the * auspices of the Ladies' Guild of St. Mark's Church, Remuera, was held yesterday afternoon and evening in the Parish Hall. There was a large attendance throughout and brisk business was done, the results of the fair being very satisfactory. The arrangements were in the hands of a strong committee, with Mrs A. B. Roberton as secretary, and the various stalls were presided over as follows: Flower stalls, Mesdames Arch. Clark and Bam ford; fancy stall, Mesdames Kinder and Luckie; curio stall, Mesdames Payton and McCosh Clark; sweets stall, Misses Towle and Macfarlane; produce stall, Mesdames Petrie and Archer and Miss Connolly; competition stalls. Misses Macfarlane and M. Cotter; refreshment stalls, Mrs and Miss Sellers; fish pond, Misses Austen, Pickmere and G. Crowther. During the evening sereral pianoforte selections were played, and a pretty Japanese dance was given by a number of the pupils of Miss Bews' girls' school.
