AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKET.
The Auckland Fruit and Produce Auctioneers' Association report that the local produce markets have been fairly busy during the past week, but the only changes are that eggs and dairy butter are easier. Factory butter is firm, with increased local sales. Vegetables are scarcer and dearer in price. Poultry was more plentiful, but there was no fall in prices. Quotations are as follow:—
Field Produce.—Potatoes: Local. £4 to £4 10/ ton; Southern, £5 10/ to £6: new. round, 1-Jd lb; new kidneys, lid to 2d: onions, local, Id to Ud lb; American, 13/ to 14/ cwt; Victorian 10/; sJoutbern, _../(> to 5/.
Vegetable*-,.—Cabbages, 1/G to 3/G dozen: 5/ to 9/ sack; cauliflowers, 2/ to 8/ dozen: rhubarb, 6/8 to 9/; asparagus, 4/ to 11. Dairy Produce.—Dairy butter, i- -rints or rolls, first quality, 9d to lOd lb: separator, 9d to lOd: pastry, 9d; farmers' keg. firsts 9d, seconds 9d, milled in bulk 10id: factory rolls, lid to 1/.
