SURREY HILLS CONVENT1.
A concert and dance were arranged in St. Benedict's Hall last evening by Mr P. Quinlan and a number of friends in aid of the funds for repairing the Surrey Hills Convent and School. There was a large attendance. An excellent programme was tendered by Misses May Nolan, Rose Lennard, and Hawke, and Messrs Jack Lewis, Jack Tudor, Will Diamond, O. McAuliffe, Geo. Higgott, W. Kane, Ned Fort, Pierce, and Quinlan's orchestra, in addition to a farce entitled "Mr and Mrs Hollyhock,-" played by Misses Quinlan and Nolan and Messrs Jack Tudor and Will Diamond. Mr W. Purcell acted as accompanist, and Quinlan's band supplied the dance music. Messrs Hays and Butler acted as M.C.'s.
