MR REABDON'S CHOICE.

v WELLINGTON, this day.
At the conclusion of Mr Reardon's address at Karioi on Friday a resolution was carried asking him to stand down in favour of an accredited Government candidate. Mr Reardon replied that if the Government were foisting a candidate on the electors he would persist in his candidature, even if he sacrificed his chance oi election to affirm the principle of free choice in the selection of candidates.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a meeting of the Trades and (Labour Council on Saturday it was decided to run three candidates at the general election. Mr. T. H. Davey has announced his intention of contesting oile of the Christchurch seats at the general election. ' _ -
