REV. LYALL'S MISSION.

There was a good attendance last night at the first week-night- service in St. Andrew's Church. Friends from Knox and Other churches assisted in the singing. Mr Lyall's address was based on the 23rd Psalm. The meetings will be continued each night during the week, commencing at 7.45 to-morrow evening. Mr Lyall's subject will be "The Heart of the Gospel." Mrs J. W. Stewart will be the soloist."

The meeting of St. John's Musical and Literary Society was 'held last night. There was a very fair attendance. The. evening , was spent as a Mock City Council, and th« presifl n-t, the Rev. W. Ready, presided. l*»e subjects discussed were dress reform, electric cars; street paving. Mr A. Thome ably officiated in the capacity of town clerk. Messrs Court, W. Baxtley, T. EJ. Price, R. A. Scott, Mortimer, "VeaSe, S. H. Scott, and P&rvin also took part to the proceedings.
