Tlie police have arrested another man in connection with the robbery of jewellery from, members of the Pollard's 'Company at. the Central Hotel. It would appear that two men Walked upstairs at the Shades Hotel first, and went through the bedroom's of the servants, but so far as is known took nothing. They then went to the. Central, and coolly appropriated the jewellery and valuables of the members of Pollard's Company staying there. Two men were seen some time later by plain-clothes constables examining- a wqftch under) a lamppost, but though suspicious, the constables were satisfied with identifying the men-. ■''■ .When the theft was reported shortly afterwards, they were able to at once put their hand on one .named Ward, who was ff oin«home by the last train to Port Chafmers. «,' •-■■■
