Error and Mensuration were first avay. The latter took command of the held and * led at a merry pace from Lamond, Vigil, and A.N.A. Mystery fell at the second obstacle: then Deingomar, Kaimate and Royal Mail followed suit. Mensuration was first past the stand from Wooral, Lamond. Error, Bay Eagle, A.N.A., Vigil, and Drummer. The same order was maintained until five furlongs from home, where Mensuration fell at the stone wall, leaving Lamond just in advance of Bay Eagle and A.N.A., and this trio took the next jump together, but at the last fence Lamond toppled over, leaving Bay Eagle to lead into the ■straight from Error ana A.N.A. The latter passed A.N.A. and challenged Bay Eagle, who answered gamely, and won by three-quarters of a length after a great finish. Regent was eight lengths away third; A.N.A. was fourth, followed by Vis-il. Drummer, and Brokerage. : Time, C.33i. JVT/ir HANDICAP, a sweepstakes of 3sovs each, with ISOsovs added.
