THAMES, this day. Thames met Ohin-emuri on Saturday at Parawai under rather unfavourable circumstances. The ground was in a sodden state, and there were numerous pools of'water 'on it.. Shortly after play commenced Laing , secured and passed to Houg-hton, who passed to Kingham, and the lastnamed scored the first try. McLean failed vUh the kick. Thames were shortly afterwards award-
Ed a free kick, and McLean landed a 'sosJi. in-tHe second spfell Houghtcn was moved from thfee'-Quairter' to half, n-nu made .some gdocl r openings. From a scrum Graham got the ball and dashed acress, and McLean converted. Two more tries were scored.- one by Hough ton and one by McDuJt. Kirigrham scored the last try behind the posts, and McLean converted, Thames thus winning by 2i points to' nil. T'heVLsl tors,-though d-e----feated, played a very plucky game.. ,
