HUNTING.
"On Saturday last the members of the Pakuranga Hunt Club met at the Harp of Eriiu"Hotel. It was quite a large meet, including the visitors Viho journeyed here from "VValuku. A move was made to Mr Wood's paddock, drawing this paddock blank. The hounds worked in the direction of One-tree Hill. A hare was found in Messrs Pullan and Armitage's paddock, and she made across into Mr Austin's and then out on to the road, keeping this lino until she turned it at Mr Nolan's property, crossing the railway line into the Ellers'iie racecourse,where the hounds lost her, as she disappeared under the jockeys' stand. A couple of fox terriers were left to hunt for puss, while the master made a move to Mr J. B. Williamson's. While the hounds and followers were going through a paddock there, one of the -members' noticed a hare lying in her form. At first he thought she was dead, but the huntsman whipped her .up in a twinkling, and away the hounds I went in full cry, finally losing the scent on One-tree Hill. .The majority, of the fences to be negotiated during the day were stone walls, and some big ones.
