TELEGRAM FROM SIR J. G. WARD.
Sir J. G. Ward, Acting-Premier, wired as follows to the press, public bodies, etc., throughout the colony last evening. "The second cable which I have received from London from Mr Seddon, advising me definitely of the postponement of the Coronation of Ills Majesty the King, in consequence v of an operation being necessary, requires me to add that all public ceremonies in connection with the Coronation be postponed. 1. therefore advise you at the earliest moment that all public ceremonies arranged for to-morrow must not take place. On receipt of further advices fixing the date for the Coronation I shall advise you."'
