Though the review is postponed, the troops attend church seiwices today.. All the naval arrangements have been cancelled.
The distribution of food and money orders up to 5/ to the poor commenced- yesterday. Large quantities of meat, bread, plum pudding, tea, and sugar have been given away. The majority of the country districts have postponed their celebrations. .. „...
SYDNEY, June 25.
The Government has decided to postpone the Coronation festivities. As a proclamation had been issued declaring a holiday to-morrow it is left to the public to exercise their own taste in the matter.
The arrangements i'or feeding the poor and the church services will be carried out to-morrow, but the services will be of an intercessory character. The. Premier stated in the Assembly that neither Lord Hopetoun nor the State Governor had received any official news of the condition of the
King. Parliament will sit to-morrow, and the Government offices will be open, but the banks will be closed.
The Queensland and South Australian Governments, 'as well as the local Government, have cancelled the holiday and postponed the Coronation festivities, excepting i__ j§outh Australia, where the c-Uitiren's demonstration will be carried out, and the religious, services will take the form of intercession for the restoration of the "King.
• The Houses of the, State Parliament /Adopted a joint address of regret and sympathy to the King.
There is profound sorrow and regret throughout the Commonwealth, and crowds are eagerly awaiting bullet ins. The evening* papers had a great sale of their ten o'clock edition. "" :• Lord Hopetoun and the State Governors have sent messages of regret and sympathy, and the Stock Exchange and "public bodies have adopted similar messages.

The Town Hall was crammed at the united intercessory service for the King. A similar sendee was held afterwards at St. Andrew's Cathedral.
